The time between Beltane and Summer Solstice is amongst my favorites. It's a time I find deep solace in, a time of manifestation and transformation. When I need to clear my mind, I go outside and sit amongst the blooms that have been my closest of allies.
My connection with nature and all that grows green is a sacred one, stemming from my childhood. My Grandmother first showed me how to garden and grow plants from seed, blooms from bulbs and soil. This bond with Mother Earth is one of love, trust and giving for which I am incredibly thankful for.
This year, I'm growing a myriad of flowers and herbs, including several varieties of Dahlias, Foxgloves, Peonies, Passion Flower, Poppies, Anemone and Clematis, along with Yarrow, Feverfew, Borage, Betony, Comfrey, Datura, Dead Nettles, Lilac, Scabiosa, Roses, Dusty Miller, Hibiscus, Quince, Indigo, Cosmos.
